Eastertime, always a time of deep reflection for us as a family. Good Friday is always a difficult time for children so we have ‘created’ together often on that day. This year we all decorated crosses and hung them on a branch, as individual representation of the meaning of Easter. My representation has now become a quilt piece. The visualisation is one again of hope, of new beginnings, with the growth of spring entwined with the darkness of the wood of the cross. ‘Hope springs eternal’. The belief in me of Easter has always been like a new year start. After the last entry of needing completion, there is a sense of hope in being able to shut a door and start again.
